TDA supports Romania-Serbia-Italy oil pipeline project
WASHINGTON - A southern oil pipeline running from Romania, via Serbia and Croatia, to Italy, could prove to be cheaper than the northern one, running through Hungary and Slovenia, the State Department has quoted a statement as saying.
The US Trade and Development Agency (TDA) approved on July 22, a 202,000 US dollar worth grant-in-aid to the Croatian Ministry of Energy as means of supporting the study on the construction of an
oil pipeline running from the Romanian port of Constantia, via the oil
refinery in Pancevo, and Croatia, to the Italian city of Trieste, which would transport the oil from the Black-sea region to Central and West Europe for refining.
