Djelic invites public enterprises to submit operation plans
BELGRADE - Serbian Finance Minister Bozidar Djelic on Wednesday invited public enterprise managers to send copies of "credible" three-year operation plans and restructuring programmes, so that the state can lend them support in fixing economic prices of their services, resolution of the redundancy problem and getting new loans.
Speaking at a seminar on the promotion of public enterprise operation at Belgrade's Hyatt Hotel, Djelic said that the precondition for the
revitalization and development of the Serbian economy in the next ten years lay in the
restructuring of public enterprises, which account for 11 percent of the country's workforce, 20 percent of companies' total income and 27 percent of the total economic loss.
