Zastava plant workers call for replacement of director
KRAGUJEVAC - The special-purpose production plant of the Zastava of Kragujevac, central Serbia, held a one-hour strike at 11 a.m. (0900 GMT) on Wednesday,
organized a "public trade union session" outside the main building and reiterated a call for the replacement of Zastava director Djordje Nestorovic.
The strike was caused by a five-percent reduction of the June salary, which the employees received on Friday. Workers rallied on Monday and on Tuesday sent an open letter to Nestorovic, saying that his salary was 60,000 dinars (1,000 euros) and last year's travel expenses amounted to 6.5 million.
