Deteriorating market conditions in June
BELGRADE - The general market conditions in June deteriorated and production dropped drastically in spite of statistics recording a 0.4 percent growth, according to a poll conducted among businessmen.
The latest issue of a Belgrade journal on market conditions, Konjunkturni barometar, was presented at the Institute of Economics on Tuesday. Dragana Petrakovic said the polled businessmen were nevertheless optimistic regarding predictions for the next three months, but expected inflationary trends. As many as 52.4
poles said they believed the prices of their products would rise, which Petrakovic interpreted as a sign of expected continued efforts to remove disparity of prices and increasing costs of electricity.
