More than 3,000 workers leave Bor mine this year
BOR - A total of 3,760 workers left the Bor Mining and Smelting Works this year according to management, which also said that 3,453 of this number left the works voluntarily, under the Serbian government's programme aimed at resolving the redundancy problem.
The workers, who left voluntarily, received 6,000 dinars (about 100 euros) for each year of service, so that 420 million dinars were spent on severance compensations. The rest retired or left the works for some other similar reason.
