Yugoslavia seeking Paris club conditions for London club debts
BELGRADE - Yugoslavia is resolved to secure a write-off of two-thirds of its debts in negotiations with the London club of private bank creditors, to which it owes 2.2 billion dollars, and it is ready to wait as long as it takes before it concludes a contract, Yugoslav Deputy Premier Miroljub Labus said on Friday.
Yugoslavia would like the same write-off conditions as in the agreement with the Paris club of creditor states of November last year, which envisages a write-off of 66 percent of the total debts worth 4.5 billion dollars, Labus said in an interview to the British news agency Reuters.
