One-hour warning strike on Belgrade buses
BELGRADE – Drivers and other employees of the Belgrade City transport company are to stop work for an hour today.
Union leader Dragoljub Stosic told Radio B92 that the main reason for the industrial action was that the transport authority had not
honored an agreement signed two months ago.
The unions are therefore demanding that General Director Milan Nazinic, whom they accuse of illegally distributing apartments, be dismissed.
Stosic added that the transport service needed complete reorganization and personnel changes “based on the principle of lustration”.
Unless the demands were met, said Stosic, another one-hour stop work would be called for September 1, to be followed by a full-scale strike.
