NBY governor says payment operations should be in dinars too
BELGRADE - Yugoslav National (central) Bank (NBY) Governor Mladjan Dinkic said Wednesday that the NBY has proposed to the Montenegrin Central Bank and the Ministry of Finance to carry out payment operations among Serbian and Montenegrin companies in dinars too.
Dinkic told a press conference that Serbian and Montenegrin companies should be given a choice of carrying out payment operations in foreign exchange or in dinars, adding that the NBY is committed to buying up all surplus dinars from both Serbian and Montenegrin banks.
