BELGRADE - Serbian Finance Minister Bozidar Djelic confirmed on Wednesday that the European Union (EU) would by late July approve a 45-million-euro loan for macro-economic support for Serbia and Montenegro, and is very seriously considering to earmark another 135 million euros for macro-economic adoption, of which 60 percent would be donations.
Speaking at a press conference in the Federation Palace in Belgrade, Djelic said that EU is very satisfied with the progress in the implementation of the Belgrade Agreement and that this is why it has decided to financially support and speed up the process of creating the joint state of Serbia and Montenegro on new foundations.
