NBY grants license to OI to open savings bank
BELGRADE - The Yugoslav National (central) Bank (NBY) granted on June 28 a
license to Opportunity International, which manages micro-financing projects of the US Agency for International Development, to open a savings bank, the US embassy in Belgrade said Monday.
The new bank's clients are expected to be small and medium-scale companies planning to create new jobs and farmers who are unable to get loans from commercial banks.
