Auction sales of 1,000 companies to begin by year's end
BELGRADE - Serbian Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic on Wednesday called on representatives of local authorities to help toward the auction sales of small and medium-sized companies so that Serbia could start the privatization of 1,000 companies by the end of this year.
Djindjic announced that the Ministry of Economy and Privatization would this month start a campaign of stepped up privatization of small and medium-sized companies in order to stimulate home investors to place their capital in buying Serbian companies.
