Serbia-Montenegro agreement envisages two monetary systems - Montenegrin central bank official
PODGORICA - President of the Montenegrin Central Bank Council Ljubisa Krgovic denied Tuesday a statement by Yugoslav National (central) Bank (NBY) Governor Mladjan Dinkic that the future joint state will have a single monetary authority.
This is Dinkic's personal view and ambition, as the agreement on reforming the relations between Serbia and Montenegro envisages two monetary systems, and the present negotiations between the Serbian and Montenegrin governments are also based on continuous existence of two monetary authorities - central banks of Serbia and Montenegro, Krgovic told Podgorica media.
