Serbian agriculture minister urges farmland enlargement
BELGRADE - The Serbian government's agricultural policy will this year focus on incentives for farmland enlargement, Serbian Minister of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry Dragan Veselinov said Thursday.
Underlining that the average size of farming lots has been growing smaller in Serbia, Veselinov told a round table on agricultural reform that a proposal would be addressed to the World Bank on the creation of a farmland consolidation fund.
