Serbian finance minister about agreement with Montenegrin authorities
Budva - Serbian Finance Minister Bozidar Djelic said yesterday that it had been agreed that Montenegro would begin again to effect payments into federal budget of the state that would be constituted on the basis of Belgrade Agreement.
'I hope that Montenegro shall begin with payments as of 2003 and that its contribution to federal budget will be 40 millions of Euros', Djelic said at the 14th meeting of Yugoslav economists in Budva.
He said that new mutual state of Serbia and Montenegro was not going to be a federation. The new union will be based on two rounded economic systems, but it is the interest of both republics to harmonize their economic systems in order to join European Union. 'We have already begun work on harmonization of our Customs rates. We agreed that the complete harmonization is finished on five years', Djelic said.
