Russian minister's visit to Belgrade affected by imminent end of Yugoslav state, Russian paper Kommersant
LONDON - There is no reason to expect any real or rapid progress in
trade and economic ties between Moscow and Belgrade after the visit
to Yugoslavia by Russian Economic Development Minister German Gref,
Moscow paper Kommersant has said.
According to Kommersant, quoted by BBC Monitoring, it was just a protocol
visit and neither side was prepared to undertake any major or long-term
commitments because Yugoslavia will soon cease to exist as a state and
will be replaced by the union of Serbia and Montenegro.
