BELGRADE - The remaining 27 million out of the 8 billion German
marks converted into euros in Yugoslavia in the past five months
were on Monday transported from Belgrade via Vienna to Germany's
Bundesbank.
At the dispatch ceremony, National Bank of Yugoslavia governor's
chief of staff Ana Draskovic told reporters that conversion
had been carried out at about 2,000 counters at banks, exchange
bureaus, Postal Savings Bank and Payment and Settlement Institution
(ZOP) throughout Yugoslavia.
