Economic problem greatest problem of Balkans, Micunovic
BUCHAREST - Yugoslav parliament lower house speaker Dragoljub Micunovic told Friday Tanjug's correspondent in Bucharest that discussions at at the just concluded two-day Parliamentary Conference on Security in Southeastern Europe have shown that many more efforts have to be made to stabilize the political and economic situation in the Balkans.
"The problem we are facing now in the region is economic. If that problem is resolved, it will be much easier to resolve other problems," Micunovic assessed and added that at the conference in Bucharest discussions were held on three key topics, and these were political aspects of security, economic security and security of cultural identity.
