Raspberry road blockers charged
BELGRADE, Thursday – The Municipal public prosecutor in the central Serbian town of Pozega has filed charges against five leaders of the Raspberry Growers Association of Vilamet, over road block protests this week.
The organizers are charged with disrupting traffic, provoking violent incidents and causing damage to carriers of highly perishable goods.
The road blocks brought traffic in central Serbia to a standstill for forty hours, blocking the principal route from Belgrade to the Montenegrin capital of Podgorica and isolating the major central Serbian cities of Uzice and Cacak.
