Memorandum about business projects for south of Serbia signed
Nebojsa Covic, the Deputy Premier of Serbia signed with Frances O'Donnell, the UN representative for Yugoslavia, a memorandum about cooperation providing $2 million for realization of business projects in municipalities of Bujanovac, Presevo and Medvedja. In his statement for the press, O'Donnell announced expansion of the project to include municipalities of Leskovac, Vranje and Lebane. Covic said that Government of Serbia and Yugoslavia would launch a campaign for collecting arms from citizens in the South of Serbia, adding that funds for local infrastructure would be in direct proportion to the amount of collected weapons.
