US begins to unfreeze Yugoslav financial funds
BELGRADE - Serbian Finance Minister Bozidar Djelic has told Tanjug the "great news" that the US Finance Ministry has started a procedure on unfreezing funds of Yugoslav banks and companies in the United States, which amount to about 300 million dollars.
Djelic said late on Wednesday that after Serbian Premier Zoran Djindjic's visit to Washington and the certification on the resumption of US assistance, which was signed by US Secretary of State Colim Powell, this represented a logical sequence of events.
