Serbian finance minister announces reduction or abolishment of tax on financial transactions
BELGRADE - Serbian Finance Minister Bozidar Djelic said on Thursday that the Serbian government had adopted amendments to the law on reduction and abolishment of the tax on financial transactions, under which the economy and citizens would save about four billion dinars per year and which would cause the reduction of interest rates and inflation in Serbia.

Djelic told a news conference that the Serbian government had sent draft amendments to parliament for urgent adoption and that all bank loans would be exempted from the tax on financial transactions and Settlement and Payment Institute (ZOP) commission.
