Djukanovic's office denies cigarette smuggling reports
PODGORICA, Wednesday – The Montenegrin president’s public relations
advisor has denied Milo Djukanovic is involved in a cigarette
smuggling ring.
"I deny allegations about an implication of President Djukanovic
in any illegal activities," said a communiqué signed by the
president's public relations advisor Vinka Jovovic.
Jovovic said It would be "logical that bodies that open so-called
investigations inform the person most concerned", adding that
neither Djukanovic nor any other government body had received
any information on the matter.
She later told Beta news agency that such reports were an attempt
to “discredit” Montenegrin state policy and the president himself.
