US renews economic aid to Yugoslavia
WASHINGTON - The United States will renew economic aid to Yugoslavia, which was frozen on April 1, US Secretary of State Colin Powell said on Tuesday.
Early this morning I signed the certification, Powell told the press after talks with Yugoslav Foreign Minister Goran Svilanovic and Serbian Premier Zoran Djindjic, who are currently in Washington. Powell added that this means the continuation of US aid.
