Yugoslav currency to appear at exchange rate lists on Thursday
BELGRADE - The Yugoslav national currency, the dinar, will on Thursday appear at exchange rate lists abroad, National Bank of Yugoslavia (NBY) Governor Mladjan Dinkic said late on Wednesday and added that this was most likely to happen in the countries most frequently visited by Yugoslav nationals - Hungary, Austria, Germany, Italy, Greece and France.

"It's really every governor's dream to have a convertible currency in a country that had a high inflation rate, like ours," Dinkic told the Serbian state television after the International Monetary Fund (IMF) declared the Yugoslav dinar convertible for current payment operations with foreign countries.
