Dinar might return to Montenegro - ministers
BELGRADE - There are no obstacles to the return of the dinar to Montenegro after the declaration of international convertibility of the Yugoslav currency, and in the next three years, the Serbian and Montenegrin governments will do their best to ensure that their citizens live better in their common state, Montenegrin and Serbian Finance Minister Miroslav Ivanisevic and Bozidar Djelic have agreed.
Participating in a joint Belgrade's BK television and Montenegro's state television broadcast on the Serbian-Montenegrin relations late on Wednesday, Ivanisevic said that there were no obstacles to the dinar's return to exchange rate lists in Montenegrin banks, but that a hard currency reserve guarantee of the National Bank of Yugoslavia and later of the National Bank of Serbia was required.
