Yugoslavia's hard currency reserves amount to 2.6 billion dollars
BELGRADE - Yugoslavia's hard currency reserves amount to 2.6 billion dollars, and the National Bank of Yugoslavia (NBY) reserves amount to 1.7 billion of this amount, which is enough to cover a six-month import activity, NBY Governor Mladjan Dinkic said on Thursday.
Dinkic told a news conference that hard currency reserves had increased due to the tranches of the IMF previous and new three-year arrangement amounting to 130 million dollars and that NBY's reserves at the beginning of reforms were sufficient merely for covering one-month imports.
