Labus, Portman sign two financial agreements
BELGRADE - Yugoslav Deputy Premier Miroljub Labus and World Bank representative Christopher Portman signed on Tuesday at the Federation Palace an agreement on a dlrs 10 million loan of World Bank for education and on a 500,000 Canadian dollar grant of the Canadian government for a social protection program.
Labus, immediately after the signing ceremony that was also attended by Canadian Ambassador to Yugoslavia Angela Bogdan, said that the World Bank loan was intended for the reform of the education system in Serbia and that it had been allocated under very favorable terms - with a 0.25 oct annual interest and over 20 years with a ten-year grace period.
