IMF clears 64 mln USD loan payments to Yugoslavia, and new 829 mln program
WASHINGTON (AFX) - The IMF executive board approved a 64 mln usd loan
disbursement to Yugoslavia, and approved a new, three-year 829 mln financing
program.
The board's decision clears for disbursal the remainder of a 255 mln
usd program approved in June 2001, the IMF said in a statement.
Yugoslavia drew upon the full amount of the loan over the past year.
Separately, the IMF executive board approved a new 829 mln usd program
to support Yugoslavia over the next three years, enabling the country
to draw a further 64 mln once the new program goes into effect tomorrow.
