Lucic: 80 million dollars form the World Bank for fighting poverty
Serbian deputy Minister for Social Issues Ljiljana Lucic announced the Serbian government would soon present a long-term plan for fighting poverty.

This program will be jointly financed by the Serbian government and the World Bank, which will provide 80 million dollars. The realization of the program should begin in six months, or one year, at latest, when teams of experts complete all the necessary estimates, Lucic told today’s daily “Glas javnosti”. She explained this was not additional aid for the poor, but that this program covers all aspects of the problem.

The program foresees investments into programs for employing young people, solving problems of the health department, resulting from reforms. Expert teams will determine programs and organizations, which should receive assistance.
