Serbia has chance for developing information technology, finance minister
BELGRADE - Serbia is lagging behind very much in the field of information technology and telecommunications compared to other countries in the region, but it should in three to five years be able to catch up with the Czech Republic and Hungary, Serbian Finance Minister Bozidar Djelic said Monday.
Opening an exhibition of computer equipment and technology "Comtrade - computer show," to be open till May 10 in Belgrade, Djelic said that Serbia compared to other countries of Southeastern Europe lagged behind the most in the field of high tech, the use of the Internet and of mobile telephones.
