Ban on import of hoofed animals from UK, France, Netherlands lifted

Belgrade, 25 April: By the decree of Yugoslav Minister of Economy Petar Trojanovic, the ban on the import and transport through the FRY of hoofed animals, products, raw materials and reject thereof, from Great Britain, Ireland, France and The Netherlands was lifted on 20 April.
The ban on the import of hoofed animals was introduced at the beginning of last year due to the mad cow disease in those countries.
