Labus: Coming talks could bring Yugoslavia 1.6 billion dollars of credits
Coming talks of the Federal deputy Prime Minister Miroljub Labus with IMF and World Bank representatives in Washington could bring Yugoslavia 1,6 billion dollars of credits in the next three years.

During the spring session of these institutions, which Labus will attend these days, the IMF should give a “green light” for a three-year stand-by arrangement to Yugoslavia, worth between 800 and 850million dollars, which the Fund’s Executive Board should approve in May.

”We expect between 800 and 850million dollars, for a period of three years, but more important than the amount is the agreement itself, giving the country stability and reducing the risk for investors, which is a good sign for all potential investors – commercial, industrial, and other banks who want to come to Yugoslavia – that things are under control”, Labus told the press in Washington.
