Social dialogue as way of avoiding unnecessary conflicts, Serbian premier
BELGRADE - Serbian Premier Zoran Djindjic said that the agreement signed Monday on the promotion of the work of the social-economic council defines the joint responsibility of all social players, and particularly of the biggest unions that rally most of the workers and have great power.

The agreement, following the constitution of the council in September last year in which besides the Serbian government are the three biggest unions and the union of employers, will help resolve problems in the process of transition and by way of social dialogue prevent unnecessary conflicts, Djindjic said.

The agreement was signed by all the three largest trade unions, the Association of Serbian Trade Union, "Nezavisnost" (independence), the Association of Free and Independent Trade Unions, Premier Djindjic and president of the union of employers of Serbia Nebojsa Atanackovic.
