EU approves 35.9 million euros in assistance
BRUSSELS, Friday – The European Commission has approved humanitarian aid amounting to 35.9 million Euros for Yugoslavia this year.
The assistance is intended for refuges and endangered social groups.
The aid will be distributed to approximately half a million people by the EC’s humanitarian agency.
An EU representative said today that the aid showed the EU was determined not to abandon the half million people in Yugoslavia who face uncertainty and poverty.
