Svilanovic meets Turkish foreign minister
ANKARA, Friday – Yugoslav Foreign Minister Goran Svilanovic and his Turkish counterpart Ysmail Cern today signed an agreement on scientific, technical, cultural and education cooperation between their two countries.
In a joint press conference after their two hour meeting in Ankara today, Cern emphasized that Svilanovic’s visit was the first by a Yugoslav foreign minister for ten years.
“It is my pleasure to have a chance to welcome my counterpart, my friend, Goran,” said Cern.
Svilanovic ended his two-day visit to Turkey today with a meeting with President Ahmet Necdet Sezer.
