In Serbia end February about 800,000 unemployed
BELGRADE - According to data from February in the Serbian economy there
are 24,600 insolvent firms that employ over half a million workers,
and their debts stand at 81.1 billion dinars, said the director of the
republican development institute.
Edvard Jakopin, director of the development institute, said that the
number of employed in the social sector is 7 pct lower than last year
in February.
There were 6 pct more unemployed in February that last year at the same
time, Jakopin said and specified that in late February about 800,000
citizens were unemployed.
